The market's reaction to the news of tariffs is based on fear at this point. For good reason. But that's not the same as reaction to actual bad economic data. If we know anything about the orange a$$hole, we know he's impulsive and not above doing a 180 turn on decisions. I think there's reason to believe that he's digging his own grave by imposing these tariffs. The money powers that be are not supportive of killing the American economy, which all these tariffs and layoffs will do. He's going to have to reverse course--or at least seriously back off--or I suspect there will be consequences described to him that will cause him to change his mind. When that happens, what goes down will go back up, although probably not in two days.
