(5,395 posts)I think trump doing all this "shock and awe" disaster capitalism stuff is providing cover for putin to carry on with this plans, yet not be so in-your-face about it all. And yes, I thoroughly believe it was all planned. Started around the time of Reagan and PNAC, and just got updated by the Heritage Foundation whenever they had another "Great" idea. If you can put the U.S. back into the time of czarist russia, under the same type of restrictions, we will become like the russian people now -- disillusioned, hopeless, and pliable. However, Americans have *always* been more pliable than any other peoples in the world, AFAIK. They'll not only welcome their dictator masters, they'll hand them the whip. For more than a few of us, tho, we rebel against ANY authoritarianism.. and especially the sadistic way this one is being formed. 90k active duty troops released from the military? 3/4 or more of all federal civil servants kicked out of their jobs? Where are these people suppose to get the money to live on? He's tanking 401k's already. It's 2008 on steroids, and likely to be worse than the 1930's.
Trump is Herbert Hoover without the charm and ideology. trump just does what he's told to do, as long as they make it worth his while. That's why they wrote it all out in a book for him. Of course, HE doesn't read... but Stephen Miller does.
