2. How did they get the rights to use "Gimme Shelter"?

It’s one thing to play it at a rally—no matter how much the Rolling Stones protest, that’s almost impossible to stop. But movies go to a lot of trouble and expense to get permission to use specific songs in their soundtrack. If they use one without permission it opens them up to a giant lawsuit. Maybe the Stones don’t have full control of their songs.
