Yesterday

...fossil fuels and in addition is so dependent on minerals and land that it is not remotely sustainable. The word "renewable" in the common locution is in fact a cruel joke.

The purpose of the half century of hype about so called "renewable energy" was never about addressing fossil fuels, in particular because it depends on fossil fuels. Rather the purpose was to attack the only sustainable form of primary energy there is, nuclear energy.
