One regularly sees these foodstuffs in mess halls and on chow lines on US ships, posts and bases around the world. Good chow is a moral booster for folks doing tough, unglamorous, often dangerous work in uncomfortable places. The work sucks.The pay is terrible at almost every pay grade. I’m happy with the rank and file getting food like this.
