5. Wow, that is just so sad. It would have gotten better for him

regardless of how much worse it got initially. But he could've found himself in a happier place in a couple of years knowing who his real friends were. There is always reason not to do it. And I think the biggest one is the absolute fact that nothing is permanent including your world collapsing around you ...in this case because of the sinister actions of others. It's not going to always be like it is when you feel that way.. everything changes
