The plan is to send out no more than 2-3 notifications per day, one in the morning and one, possibly two, later in the day, with the option to send out special notifications should there be an important breaking news story.
As mentioned this may be more useful initially to casual rather than heavy DU users. But if you try it out and dont like it, its easy to opt out again.

Got notifications popup, but clicking lock does not give Cancel option. Can do it in Settings
