Permits mean a known operator, which should mean contacting them to shift the drones' flight/search/hoover pattern.
I would be fine with shooting them down, carefully.

What they have said is that the drones are not being launched from foreign craft....

One theory is it's a company that makes large drones and is testing them out.

I didn't hear how close they were. The FAA rule years ago was 5 miles or 5 nautical miles one or the other...
