16. Does anyone recall this kind of nonsense ever happening before?

She's "removing" he "name" from "contention" as a US Senator? I mean, I guess those words all make sense together, but truly, we are through the looking glass. DeSantis hasn't announced any "contenders" (is there a contest of some kind for these contenders?!?), nor has her "name" been anything more than a rumored possibility. These people really live on some weirdo frequency where announcing that you've withdrawn yourself from consideration for a position nobody on Earth thinks you should have is a normal thing. This is bonkers bananas.
