HR at my husband’s employer is on the other coast of the US, and as far as I can tell they are a separate company that jobs itself out to those who need HR services. They are American — but the CEO and owners of the company where hubby works are Indian, and the vast majority of employees are in India.

A friend of my husband’s, an American woman with years of professional experience, wanted to lodge a complaint at HR about higher-ups’ dismissive attitude toward her. HR told her to not even bother.

In other words, suck it up, buttercup. Welcome to the world where Business has no national boundaries, and Business does not have and never did have, any of those pesky woke laws holding it back.
