In reply to the discussion: Mike Johnson Breaks With Trump, Calls Putin a 'Threat to America,' Warns of New Axis Forming on President's Watch [View all]NJCher
(39,947 posts)Welcome to DU.
I would really like to hear your thoughts on why you think the article is BS. I watched it and I think it reveals something very, very interesting. I want to find out if your thoughts are the same as mine, but I wouldn't blame the article.
So please--let's hear why you think this. I realize you're new to DU, but don't be afraid to document your reasoning with the video you've presented and the time at which the Speaker says it so we can easily check the remarks for intonation, body language, etc.
Now, for example, he calls out Putin in no uncertain terms at the 5:30 mark. He calls him an "old school communist" and says he is in an axis that is not on "our side." He mentions China, N. Korea, Iran, etc. He then says he wants to be "crystal clear," America is "back."
I also think that what Johnson is saying is genuine, but not in the way he might think.
In this video, there is also another way that he (comically--not intended) draws the line between him and trump.
Looking forward to your response.
