12. Yes the Boston Irish had a refinement.

And sophistication. Attended Catholic schools with strict academic standards.
And their immigrant parents and grandparents had been British subjects before Ireland became a Free State. There was a concern about being proper.

My father was in the military and traveled the world.
But in his mind there was no place on the planet like his beloved Boston.
