You're so right, there were many stories about Chump's incompetence and failures before and during his time in the White House. On DU we have been sharing those stories with each other since 2016 or so.
But the "regular" US news media have carefully normalized his weirdness, word salads, inability to speak in complete sentences, inability to answer a question, etc. They have edited his speech so he sounds somewhat normal, they have made short soundbites (videos) for TV news and people never heard his rambling nonsense. Faux Noise is always careful to show only the best stuff about Chump, even if it's lies and bullshit.
When the MAGAs and ChumpHumpers only watch Faux Noise and no other news, how are they going to ever know the truth about him?
