4. We had a husky show up in our backyard one day

when we lived in KcK. We sent out fliers, checked lost pets, did everything we could but no one claimed him. I think he was dumped. We lived by a pound, and this was a constant issue. As a rescuer (of cats, mostly!) I did everything I could to find homes or no kill shelters for any dumped animals that we couldn't take in.

One of the dumped dogs we kept was a border collie. I used to call him my "bouncy dog" and I didn't think I'd live through his puppy years!!!! But when he brought the husky inside the house (fulling expecting to keep him as a companion for Einstein), even our 3800 sq ft house couldn't handle them both. In fact, it's the ONLY time I ever saw my border collie run under my big old desk and hide there, trying to "rest" while the husky still bounced around the room.

Eventually, the husky rescue society in KC offered to find him a foster home, and I think Einstein (our border collie) was very grateful to us after that... lol. BTW, I loved the time with the husky. Such great dogs. But SO high maintenance!
