6. There's NO WAY they can improve on that great movie!

I think Forbidden Planet is the BEST science fiction movie ever made. It's the most INTELLIGENT science fiction movie ever made. That central theme of the ancient Krell civilization and the way the humans in that movie interact with the artifacts of that civilization is so profound. I've always thought they shouldn't even try to re-make these great classic movies, because, as I said in the title, it just isn't possible to improve on them.

What I would REALLY love to see is a SEQUEL to Forbidden Planet. There are so many possibilities for a sequel. The Krell obviously were a space-faring civilization. Earth had been one of the planets they visited some hundreds of thousands of years ago. So, even though the Krell home planet of Altair IV is no longer there, there must be more Krell artifacts on other planets in our corner of the galaxy. There might even be some living Krell ...
