(24,889 posts)95. All must go for me. I am allergic to eggs.
But, I might eat the yolk from the boiled egg since it is the whites that I'm allergic to.
Fortunately, the allergy only affects me if the dish is all eggs or primarily eggs. I can eat foods that have one or two eggs diluted in the rest of the dish, like cake, cookies, meatballs, etc. But no angel food cakes, pies with meringue, omelets, or scrambled or fried eggs.
Before the egg allergy developed, my favorite was deviled eggs.

I'm in my late 50s, and although I've certainly heard of them, I've never actually eaten a poached egg.

No, poached is my pick. My favorite is sunny side up but with salmonella fears, I don't eat eggs that way now.

Hard boiled because they're boring on their own, but a fried egg without the white set is the worst.

Poached, cause I love the others more. Though I don't think I've had a poached egg in decades!

Probably poached, but only because it's not something I make or get served often enough

Another good question - are you making sure you get true free range eggs from humanly treated chickens?

My neighbor has hens and a roster. They are free range. He gives us the eggs for free.
