That's the way a break should be announced. You are not flouncing off. You left plenty of room to return with a warm welcome.

It comes across as a sincere desire to let those who might be concerned, that you are merely taking a break. I think I may as well. I don't think I need to let the DU know in my instance because I doubt anyone know me. But you, being a prolific poster, courteously said, "bye for now."
