Shit, the entire engine compartment is under a cowl, the battery posts for jump starts are posts placed outside the cowl. I don't know how to take it off. My mechanic won't touch the ignition and all the BMW servicers in the next county over want $175/hour just to look at it. And I can imagine the mark up if they ordered the keys.
The $350 is beyond my budget. We only have one locksmith in the county and I would 't ask him to do it. If the mechanic shops won't touch it... they all told me I had to go through BMW.
I have been trying to resolve this for months.
