(94,096 posts)I would be okay if any of the locks worked in any way but the car won't even consider starting. If it was fuses, I think my mechanic already checked that. I do no maintenance on this vehicle myself, I am not capable of that anymore. I have a good relationship with my mechanic, he's the only one who has worked on this car since I bought it in '18 and he sold it to the guy I bought it from.
As a pro driver for many years, I am picky about my mechanic and the mechanics of my vehicles. I only practice acrobatics on the track thank you very much and not in my personal vehicles.
So I have been researching and trying to find solutions that aren't some kind of Mickey Mouse attempt involving pulling things apart and "trying this" and usually ending up using duct tape for something. Not happening, I want to sell this thing this coming year. Which is why it's crucial to have functioning keys.
