7. It's seen during the day for the same reason it's seen at night--

the surface reflects the sunlight. It can be seen between moonrise and moonset, but it's not usually noticed on hazy days when it's washed out by the sunlight. The sky was mostly clear today, except for some passing clouds, and the moon was directly overhead when I took the shot. I often see the moon on clear days.
