Anybody ever watch The Murdoch Mysteries? [View all]

Very enjoyable show to watch. It's set in Victorian-Era Toronto, Canada. The production values are incredible, even if the occasional anachronism appears on the show.

It's a fictional look at the early days of forensic investigation. The detective James Murdoch, is a devout Catholic and a man of science (imagine that!).

As progressive as we want our heroes to be from the modern perspective, Murdoch does show many of the prejudices of his time and the faith of its time. There's one episode in which a gay character is featured. Murdoch expresses disgust toward the man and calls him a 'sodomite'.

In most other respects, though, Murdoch is a likeable and admirable main character.

Fun show to watch.
