Bilko and his shenanigans were just awesome.

Trivia: Paul Ford (the colonel) plays the banker in "Big Hand for a Little Lady"
If you have never seen this movie, you need to do so.

JoAnne Woodward, Henry Fonda, Burgess Merideth, Jason Robards, Kevin McCarthy plus several well known character actors of the middle 60s. We love this movie.
