then Aden stands a good chance of ending the Republicans' 46-year stranglehold on the 3rd district.

I really thought that Mike Hathorn stood a good chance of ending that dynasty back during the 2001 special election, but then all that 9-11 crap happened and that seemed to knock the Hathorn campaign off its tracks.
