is age, height, weight appropriate or not? 10 year-old fry cooks, 8 year-old miners, 6 year-old tree trimmers? Yeah, that sure is an arbitrary burden for parents. I just know there will be (I should say 'are') companies that will take advantage of this, fire the Dad who is making $20/hour in the auto parts plant and hire his 14 year-old son at $7/hour. So the kid loses a finger or two or a couple toes...the auto parts plant's bottom line skyrockets. What about the kid going to school?
