Often the best students are the international students, even the ones who are not native English speakers, who are lonely and homesick, who sometimes can't go home because there's a civil war in their country.
They're dedicated, disciplined, and focused.
Frankly, few homegrown American students can compete-- or want to compete.
This is why Trump is against DEI and immigration-- because he knows that they're better than his crowd. Rich white nepo guys like him haven't ever needed to compete, and don't want to. They want the country to go back to the time they didn't have to work hard or be smart to be in charge.
