We're in the middle of installing a home backup generator. The electrical work was completed and the generator is in place, but no propane tanks yet.

So with the circuitry for the portable generator gone and the new generator not yet online, we just knew we were going to have a major outage during the gap....

Fortunately, our electrician came by (for free!) to hook the old sub panel back up so the old portable generator is working for us now.

He said he's had a huge number of calls and saw a lot of wires and trees down on the roads, so he's saying several days to get everyone back.
