This is unusual but still dangerous. A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued [View all]

for a burst of wind to pass through DC region through around 5:15 pm Friday. There is little rain and no thunder with this, but it's essentially a wall of wind which unleashed 60 mph gusts around Hagerstown and Martinsburg and 71 mph gust in Charles Town, W. Va. Stay inside while this passes.
