If they're supporting this measure because they're pro-life (as one of the sponsors says), then they should beware - it's a slippery slope. Next thing you know, they'll be supporting measures to make life better for newborns, better maternal care, prison as rehabilitation rather than retribution, health insurance for all, etc. Could be very interesting.
