Back when he was my rep (... ...) I listened to a couple of his telephone townhall calls, and attended one of his little gatherings. I was one of the few non-right wingers there. The amount of crap I heard in one hour was stunning. If he's faking it, he's doing a hell of a job.

I still know a lot of his supporters. Most of them are as bat-shit-crazy as he is.
