Suspicious package sent to home of Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul under investigation [View all]

Law enforcement is investigating a package with white powder sent to Sen. Rand Paul's Kentucky home.

The FBI's Louisville office "is working with the Warren County Sheriff's Office by providing forensic and technical support for this investigation," agency spokesman Tim Beam told The Courier Journal.

Capitol Hill police are also involved in the investigation, according to Politico, which first reported the news.

"I take these threats immensely seriously," Paul wrote on Twitter on Monday. "As a repeated target of violence, it is reprehensible that Twitter allows C-list celebrities to encourage violence against me and my family."
