3. All the reasons that Natchez gives for leaving Mississippi and joining Louisiana are the very ones

why she should stay with Mississippi. As painful as it is, Mississippi needs you. Many of us find ourselves in locations that are too conservative and consider moving. But, we are needed as friends and resources for people who can't leave. If I won the lottery would I move to a more liberal place? No, I would stay in North Carolina. But, I would probably travel frequently to New York City for the operas and restaurants. And, Natchez, look to the future. When the sea level increases by 6 feet, you will become the tail that wags Mississippi.
