Hubby and I are going to be wintering in North Carolina starting Dec 5 Thru early April 2021.

We are coming from NY-21 Northern New York, home of the Adirondaks, Elusive Elise Stefanik, lots of Red hats and wonderful scenery.

As a retired couple we wanted to escape the cold and snow for awhile. We’ve already had some snow, and glad we made the decision to escape.

We are going to be wintering in the Emerald Isle NC area so we hope to get some relaxing beach vibes after so many years of being somewhat landlocked. I am glad to see that currently, Carteret County appears to be yellow on the COVID spectrum. Being from NY, we are used to masks and social distancing in all situations. Our area is currently enjoying about 3-4% positivity rating. Although Carteret County is at about 7%, I think it will be fine with proper precautions.

I do appreciate this group and hopefully will be able to share any info about the NY-21 area you might be curious about!

Right now, I am curious if there are shortages of toilet paper or cleaning supplies in the NC area were we will be staying. We are packing up the truck for the move, and space is limited. If I don’t have to bring extras of those items, it gives me more room for other stuff.

Thanks!
