2. Reach across the aisle?

“Portman said he hopes Biden continues to reach across the aisle to pass additional COVID-19 aid and other priorities.”

Why do the Dems always have to do the “reaching out”? I sure didn’t see one bit of “reaching out” by the party of Trump .... they had zero interest in working with Democrats. And, as far as passing more COVID aid, they seem to have zero interest in that, too.
