3. The vaccine makers are already working on trials for combo mRNA flu-COVID19 shots

I expect those might be ready to go next year.

What I hope is that doing a mRNA flu shot might give us a lot better efficacy than the traditional viral (inactivated/attenuated/recombinant) types, which generally only give minimal protection from season to season if they "guess" which types will actually circulate over here in this hemisphere each year.

In fact from what I gather, using the mRNA platform, they found they could wait a few more months before starting up their vaccine batch manufacturing, which gives them more time to narrow down which ones have a better chance of erupting here.
