Sad things happen.
However, there is no way those teens could have grown up in a culture that does not flood our lives with talk of guns, sales of guns, desires for guns, entertainment with guns, games with guns, killings with guns, accidents with guns, toddlers with guns, teens with BIG guns, dames with dozens, guys with gazillions...

No, there is no way on God's earth that the off-chart exceptionalism that is American sickness with guns could be any different than it is.
The rest of the world simply doesn't get it; we are 'right'.
God alone knows when enough blood will have flowed.

Any suggestion that I might make about a possible moral core in American culture causing change, is immediately negated by common-sense statements like, "It will never change."

(Somewhere in those words was a subtle feeling of sarcasm, mostly veiled by sadness.)
