Austin's development planning has always been short sighted and in the hands of developers. Developers have never have had to pay for the additional overhead which they are creating into already overloaded systems. Parking, mass-transit, utilities, lower income housing issues that are being created by their development and profits - that's someone else's problem to pay for.
