1. I was a little kid when it hit. My family and I lived on the MS coast, on the bad side of the storm.

We were to the east of the direct hit areas.

We had no running water for 3 weeks and no electricity for 4.

It took a decade to rebuild the Mississippi coast. Just devastating.
