Working for the Corps of Engineers. I was going out each morning to test the pumps on the levies. My ride picked me up morning and told me he just saw a moose down on the levy. I was thinking yeah, right. But when we got to the first pumping plant a moose came up from the water.

He was following the river downstream. I’d read day in the paper where he was. Until he got down to Starbucks by Little Goodse dam, then he disappeared. I’m sure some local redneck shot him.
