He was a slimebag when he was a cabinet minister in Harper's government and nothing has changed. His party is still under investigation for "irregular financial contributions" allegation from when the UCP and the Progressive Conservative Party united.

Here's an article from 2019, I haven't found anything stating the investigation is over:
