2. Actually blocking a no deal Brexit will be incredibly hard

It's not enough to pass a motion telling Johnson to not do it; they need legislation, which would need to be drawn up and sent through the whole parliamentary procedure - not by a government, but a coalition that would be made up of many parties (and, presumably, including some Tory MPs who have either resigned the whip or been chucked out of the party).

They'd all have to stick together through that. I don't think Johnson will have to prorogue parliament (and, it seems, the deadline for a vote of no confidence to force an election before Oct 31st has passed, because the summer recess has started).
