After being "forced" to upgrade to Windows 10 (ie: a new pc) it was discouraging that my old (really old) Microsoft Office XP would not work properly install and/or work easily. I refused to upgrade MS Office, and my son and husband recommended and installed LibreOffice for me instead.

It's free and it does everything I need it to do.

Some things are different, but the layout and mostly everything else is familiar an in easy to find locations. All my old documents import beautifully. The spreadsheet (for taxes and budgeting) that I use most often needed some tweaking with columns and font-size... but that's okay... it still worked.
