cut back on the more creative merchandising they once did, including coffee/espresso machines and accessories--some of which were once pretty cutting-edge. Now they just have the ubiquitous mugs and cups that are not so unique and the stores lack any inviting reason to sit down and consume. I'm ignoring the steep price rises there, but the former was at least a reason to stop in now and then if only to gawk. Occasionally I'd see something worthy of purchasing and if I couldn't find it at one or other stores, could find it online, along with some coffee that might have been only a seasonal availability. The latter online option has stopped altogether and their website seems nothing more than an advertisement. Plus, they push ordering/paying in the app, so the stores cease to have much of any purpose other than to house the drive-through. Meh.
