1. China could pull a russia and end up sanctioned out of economic existence. It would be a smart move

to keep any economic entity out of China that you can't afford to lose because once sanctions start they will nationalize all the foreign businesses. Don't think China's leaders are as unhinged as putin but they are talking the talk when it comes to Taiwan.
