4. I get the revenge aspect, both personal & political, for Israelis. But I don't see any way they "win" in the long term

Gaza will be a pile of rubble. And probably still harbor cells of Hamas extremists they miss in tunnels they never find. And they will have a humanitarian crisis that the world will let be all Israeli. I pity both the Palestinians and the Israelis. They will keep doing this to the last man, woman and child. So tragic!
