I. Cannot. STAND. This. Woman.

And yes, she is a woman. People have a right to live as their authentic selves, trans women are women, trans men are men, etc. I believe those things whole-heartedly. But.

The fact is, prior to transitioning, Jenner lived most of her adult life as a rich, famous, white man, swimming in a sea of the privilege that accrues to rich, famous, white men in this society. Though no longer a man, she's still rich and famous and still takes the above-mentioned privilege for granted. She's able to do this, because she has absolutely no awareness of that privilege or how it has shaped her views. What's worse, she is completely lacking in empathy for those who have never experienced that kind of privilege. What all this adds up to isn't a good look. At all.

This bit, in particular, blew my mind:

But she didn't, for some reason, understand why LGBTQ people would be upset about her decision to join the network and called criticism of the move "hypocrisy."

If she really, genuinely doesn't understand why her joining Fux Non News would be distasteful, if not abhorrent, to the LGBTQ community, she's incredibly, abysmally dumb. I believe she is that dumb, and I completely agree with Charlotte Clymer's assessment of her as a "vapid narcissist."
