His mind seems to be intact. If you can get beyond the gibberish gibberish - he is about 75% coherent viewpoint.
The meth seems to have made his gestures kind of spastic and disjointed.
When the father was younger (teens, adolescent, 20s+ 30s) I bet he was a handful.
I wonder if after he was misinformed that his son was dead - if the father dove deeper into the meth cesspool and really started to abuse drugs ?
This family seems inclined to jump from poor life choice to poor life choice as they journey through life. Toxic masculinity seems to be pervasive with the males.
The Aldrich grandfather in California appears to also be heavily inclined to extreme conservatism and toxic masculinity is also a badge of honor and pride there with him too.
Toxic masculinity is so deeply ingrained in American society,.. it is so detrimental to our culture. Then along comes tRump to glorify and normalize toxic masculinity all that much more.
Can we ever turn back from the precipice of societal destruction, or have we gone too far, or is it too late in the game to correct this and chart a different course ?
