7. I've always preferred queer over gay

To me, "queer" is non-specific and less of a label than "gay" or "lesbian." It covers that I'm married to another woman (who is bi), that I lean butch. To me it's a general way to say, I don't meet the traditional expectations for a woman in this culture.
