from my life. I live in a rural area of california. More mountain than flat.Trees, Beef, Tourism and illicet mj grows the main drivers of our local econmy.
Anyway, I just ran into an old friend whom I've not seen a year +.
Manages the local hospitals nurses. Pretty shitty job aparantly.
This woman has a PHD in her profession, Holds a masters in law. You get the idea.
Anyway, saw her socially tonight first time in 2 years.
No masks.
Poor woman was out of her mind. Drunk for the first time in, yeah, right.
Hospital is at full capacity, Covids on guernies in the hallways. Management still insists on electives because, y'know $$$$. Just ordered "storge" units but cant tell anyone...
"Whatever you do my friend, do not get sick", she said to me. "However, if you do, you should wait until you are sick enough to get to the ICU, They have a bed or two left."

2022's gonna be fun.
