I've enjoyed that series so far, despite some of the glaring oversights like having explosions make noise in a vacuum -- but that's par for the course for most sci-fi. I thought the different societies and the political intrigue, not to mention the bizarre science-fantasy aspects, were fun, and the main characters make an appealing crew.
