On Netflix - Self-Made [View all]

This is a series for one season only.

It's the story of Madame C. J. Walker, the African American woman who built an empire manufacturing hair and beauty products for black women. It covers an interesting period in American history - the turn of the 19th to the 20th century.

Intelligent writing and wonderful acting. Very enjoyable.
